Frontenac is a dark. -skinned, hybrid French-American grape variety, the result of a crossing made in 1978 at the University of Minnesota. The juice has a deep garnet color, with cherry aromas. Secondary characteristics of blackcurrant, plum and sometimes chocolate have also been identified
